Conchelé

Well, I'll just leave the translation of the title for you to guess. But it basically describes how my week was. Busy, hectic, activity filled and stressed. My last posting was last Sunday about this same time. Geeze, it seems like I can only post on Sundays right before being off to church. Anyhow, such is life at least I show my face and let you know that I'm still here.

Entonces, ¿qué pasa en Arepaland? Well Monda started out as usual, busy doing all that you needed to do, and quite uneventful, but as Tuesday rolled in it was all down hill from there. One thing after another, one event after another, one issue after another, and the week is steadily going by and I barely have time to breathe. I was out every night of the week. On top of that the computer had a virus which made my life much more miserable. I finally got the computer fixed on Wednesday and just when I thought that my life was going to get easier, there was another snag.

You see SENIAT shut down CANTV (the monlolpy communications service here) for tax evasion. Can you imagine such mess? that's like Cable & Wireless being shut down by the Barbados, Jamacian or St Vincent governments. Yea, yea, yea, I know yuh all wish that sumbodie would shut down Cable & Wireless. I din feel nuh way atall when I heard the news. You all know my CANTV horrors. BTW, my CANTV update, as of today I still DO NOT have the capability to make international calls. This is after several calls to the various jefes (heads) at the CANTV office, by both the hubby, the landlord and myself. I've just thrown my hands in the air and given up. Man the CANTV people even calls our house aone or two time, acknowledge that we have a problem and the problem still can't get fixed.

Anyhow I'm not complaining anymore, cause yuh see that complaining before got us ah 8 mths extension of our time, I gonna be on my best behavior so we can get parole with time to spare.

So I've been pretty much busy over the past week and it will continue into the coming weeks, because this is our time of year for activities in our cirlce of things here. I'm under deadline to finish a project for the end of the month, but since I'm taking off for vacation in the next two weeks, it has to be done before I leave. Also, I have a newsletter to get finished or almost finished before I leave. On top of those, I'm the Barbados coordinator of a major charity event here being held 2 days after I return from vacation. So all systems must be in place before I leave so that things can run smoothly when I return. I tell yuh, never a dull moment.

So don't drop me off your list as yet, I'm still here, having issues with the computer, but here in blogland in spirit if not in writing.
So let me leave you with a little something to read About Chavez making waves in his country to dispel some of the rumors being heard about Venezuela.

Glad to see you.......I see the anti-Chavez campaign going on in the media but the other night we finally caught a glimpse of the anti-Bush campaign from the other side and I was quite elated....I like fair fights.
