No puede ser

estoy en comunicado con el mundo desed mi casa. Yes. I can speak and write from muh house again. I't only taken 4mths to get international calling service and a month plus to get back my internet. Good Lawd almighty, it feels good, to sit in the comforts of mi house, listen tuh WWW.98.1theone.com and just relax.

So how things transpired. First, the phone service. After all the months or calling, writing, visiting and complaining. I have a good friend, who has a daughter that works as a consultant for CANTV. My friend, tired that she wasn't able to communicate with me via internet, related my dilema to her daughter. the hija said for me to send her an email explaining the problem and she would fwd it to the proper peoples. Well, I rushed out to the nearest internet cafe and got to writing. Two days later, I received a call from a CANTV employee. I again explained the situation to her. She gave me some assurances that she would solve the problem. After a couple calls to check somethings, she called me this morning and told me that the service would be functioning and sure enough it is.

The thing is that it was a simple fix, but for whatever reason, the people at the bottom, the technicians just couldn't fix it. The problem was that the phone has a special service on it from a previous owner that needed taking off. simple as that. Pray tell me why the technicians couldn't see that?????

The internet was another simple fix, if only I could have gotten a technician to come to the house to fix it, but hey, if they couldn't do a simple fix at the office, how would they have fixed the one at the house. Anyhow, the security fella for our Bldg, was aware that we were having problems. so he arranged for one of his buddies, who works for CANTV to come and sort us out. We saw him on Sat while he was at the Bldg sorting out another tenant. we spoke to him and he came today. Did some checking, and in two-twos the problem was solved. Of course you know we had to give him a little someting on the side. but hey that's the way things work around here. you want something done, you get the technician to do it off the side and fix him up...

So now we have both internet and international calling capacity again.. Man yuh doan realize how much you use and depend on the internet until you don't have it. Goosh what were we doing 10yrs ago. How did we survive and communicate. It's amazing the impact the internet and WWW have on our lives. We really live in a technological word and don't even realize it.

So my peoples, I'm back. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Give me a few days to get caught up on the blogs, update the links ect. and I'll be back in full force soon.
