otra dia

It always seems that when life is getting the best of you that the days just go by and you don't even realize where there are going. My blogging or lack thereof is a sign of my life just smoothly going by with or without me. Life waits for no one, so you must jump on the train of life and deal with the speed of the train driver, cause he's not stopping to wait for you. Now that I've gotten that out of the way. What's happening.

The tunnel project is well on the way. Today was a good day, and we made some progress with our great escape. Can't reveal any details as yet, but we digging along just continue to think of us and pray for us.

The weather here has been pretty good. Finally, it seems like the dry season is upon us. See hey de Avila as seen from the bedroom. Not a vivid a view as before but refreshing all the same. The nights are still a bit cool according to Latin American weather standards, but it's all good. You open the windows, get under the covers and get cozy with the hubby. Still have some issues with maintenece in the Apt, but nothing like the one we left before but we realize that's the story of our lives here in Arepaland.

So did anyone catch the Grammys last nigh? Yea, yea, yea, I know it's basically American music and not international, but hey Welcome to Jamrock won for best reggae, and he was looking quite dapper, with the two ladies at his side. He cleaned up well I must say. I'm still waiting for the breakthrough of a calypso category.

Ryhianna was definitely missing, I though she'd be there for her first show, but I guess her peoples probably think that she's not ready as yet. I was sure that Ms Kami was going to do the fashion police for us today, but seems like she burned out and fustrated with all the violence happening in the schools today.

I saw a few choice picks. Like Ms Eva here . It takes that special body to pull off such a number. Geeze when I drop another 100lbs maybe I'll try a number like that. Of course we couldn't miss Ms Terri here who stole the show from everyone. The girl got guts and she actually pulled it off. They were some other hit and misses, but let's not dwell on them. The performances were nothing to shout about. I especially admired Madonna. After all these years, the Material Girl, still got material and stamina. You gotta give her the props for enduring as long as she did.

Another performace that took center stage was Jamie Foxx and Kyane West Golddigger. Now I like Jammie as both the comic he is and actor, now emerging singer. I am in no way a fan of Kyane. I think the brother has issues. I havn't really heard the song Golddigger, but heard
much about it. However, last night performance on the point. I was really feeling the step show imitation. Hey it's the HBCU graduate in me... forgive me if you are not a proud graduate of a Historically Black College or University Bowie Bull Dawgsin da house...oooppsss forgive me... flashback. Where was I?? Oh yea, so the performance was nice. I was totally appalled at the 1970's pimp look he was sporting with the red shirt open down the chest and big medallion. Oh where did I stach that photo. Oh I couldn't even be botherd to save it. Also the performance of Mirah Carey, Cristina with Herbie Hancock and Mary J were worth mention. Overall decent show. Let me not forget to give the props to U2 for song and album of the year. Bono still doing his thang.

And you know I totally forgot it was on, Camp? Yeh man, I watched American Idol and then went and got my fix of the Internet. If I had remembered I would have watched it.

Good to hear that the plan is going well.

I didn't watch much of the grammy awards, just a bit, got bored and went back to my school work.

Madonna looked great, but why does she always wear that nasty swimsuit looking thing. I remember when she was a trendsetter in terms of dress.
